The nearest beaches to the district are Jumeirah Beach and free public Open Beach. They can be reached in 15-20 minutes by car or in 50 minutes by public transport.

The construction of the district began in 1998 but there are still new residential complexes being built. The housing project made by Emaar Properties developer is estimated by $20Bn.
Approximately 30 000 real estate units are listed for sale. There are both luxurious apartments with the panoramic view of Burj Khalifa in the skyscrapers and the apartments in the low-rise residential complex Old Town designed in Arabic style and surrounded by lush gardens.
By 2022 the construction of 78-floor skyscraper Emaar Grande by Emaar Properties developer in Downtown Dubai district will be finished. The starting price on this project is AED 2,275,888.
The central location of Downtown Dubai with the walking distance to urban infrastructure and entertainment arouses interest of the foreign investors. Furthermore, you can buy the real estate unit there in freehold.
